It’s clear diversity recognition ranks high on the list of initiatives employees care about and Aya’s participation in Pride this year spoke volumes. “It means everything to me that Aya is at Pride. “I love that I can attend an event with my company and people welcome me with open arms – it’s just like a family out here,” said Kevin, one of Aya’s traveling nurses. “Our partnership with Pride was the catalyst to create the Pride committee, which pushes for increased diversity and inclusion in the workplace on a company-wide basis.” Working For a Company That CaresĪya continues to increase its support for causes that matter to employees and clinicians, which is just one of the reasons it’s one of the best places to work in San Diego. “Being a sponsor and part of San Diego Pride is an honor,” says Tracy Sano, Director of Travel Experience and head of Aya’s corporate philanthropy efforts. Aya sponsored the San Diego Pride Parade and Festival and stands in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ friends. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, riots and demonstrations by the LGBTQ community that launched the Gay Liberation Movement. The event is the largest single-day civic event in the region and one of the largest Prides in the United States. On July 13, nearly 100 Aya employees and clinicians, along with family and friends, gathered together to promote diversity recognition and celebrate love and equality in the San Diego Pride Parade.
